School Memories


At the turn of the 21st century, English Heritage built a library of heritage images that includes photographs of most of the Listed buildings in Weston Turville taken by Cecil Dawes and Dr Barry Senior.

A History of the Church of St Mary the Virginby Glynn White was published in December 2010

a book of memories of school life collected from past pupils of the Old School in School Lane. Copies available at £7.50 + p&p.

War Diaries - a record of daily life in Weston Turville in the 1940s b y John Lawton, headmaster of the Old School, transcribed by Ray Lawton.Millennium Trail - A one hour circular trail around the village, describing many points of interest on the way. Price £1 + p&p.

The results of the Public Catalogue Foundation project to digitize all of the UK's paintings that are in Public collections are now appearing on the BBC's Your Paintings website. Several 1930s paintings, by Alexander Jamieson, of Weston Turville, held in collections Salford, Preston and London are now available. The most comprehensive collection of Statistics and maps relating to Weston Turville online is to be found on the "A Vision of Britain through Time" website.
